Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) produce professional development trainings, events, and meetings for educators. She excels at logistics and operations, ensuring events, trainings, and meetings run smoothly with complete examination of possible scenarios.
LeAnna joined LDOE is 2015 and immediately began working on the Teacher Leader Summit, a premier professional development conference for Louisiana educators that garners 6500+ attendees each year. The Summit typically runs 300+ sessions over three days. For the past three years, she has been the key logistics planner for the conference. With 45 day's notice, LeAnna and a small team converted their 2020 in-person conference to an virtual learning series spanning the course of two weeks.
LeAnna is a member of the
Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) Louisiana chapter where she serves as the board President. Under her guidance the chapter has won 1st place awards two years in row for their programming. In 2018 LeAnna was named a
Top Young Professional Under 37 by SGMP. LeAnna has her
CGMP designation and is working towards her CMP.
